In Brief:

Join us at the Montauk Library on Sunday, August 24th at 3:00 for a presentation of a new book about one of Montauk’s most famous destinations at the entrance of Montauk Harbor! Memories of Gosman’s Dock by the Help (Parrville Press, 2025) is an outstanding collection of wonderful anecdotes written from the point of view of five of the countless numbers of former summer employees who worked at Gosman’s Dock, a major tourist attraction famous for its restaurants, wholesale/retail fish & lobster business, numerous shops, and summer concerts. The book includes a collection of rare photos. Contributors include Brian McKernan, editor & publisher, Parrville Press (former VP of PR at Marcomm Group, Great Neck NY); Debbie Tuma, journalist for radio station WLNG and The Montauk Sun; John McKernan, retired pharmaceutical sales, FDNY; as well as Bill McKernan (retired) and Christopher Walsh (East Hampton Star journalist, musician) who are unable to attend the event at the library. Books will be available at the Montauk Library with a donation to The Friends of the Montauk Library.
