Due to restrictions implemented by New York State to protect the piping plovers and their nesting habitat, the Montauk Chamber of Commerce, after extensive consideration, planning, and collaboration with Town officials and enforcement agencies, is pleased to announce a new location for this year’s fireworks display. The fireworks will now be launched from a barge positioned off Montauk Inlet.
We have organized complimentary shuttle services throughout the evening to allow residents and visitors to access viewing points at Sunset Beach/Gosman’s Beach and Gin Beach while helping to alleviate traffic congestion downtown. Pickup locations will be at Kirk Park, Lions Field, and the Malibu Motel.
Furthermore, spectators can also enjoy the Montauk Point Lighthouse for this historic 250th 4th of July experience.
