Parking Permits
East Hampton Town Parking permits may be obtained at the Town Offices at 159 Pantigo Road in East Hampton or at the Town Annex located at the Montauk Playhouse. Applications can be found on the town website www.ehamptonny.gov. Please call the Town Clerk at 631-324-4142 for more information.
Residents
Resident permits expire on the 31st of December in the years ending in a 0 or 5. Resident permits will still be issued free of charge, and they can be obtained at the Clerk’s Office on Pantigo Road, the annex at the Montauk Playhouse, or by mail, all with proper documentation. Please mail to:

You may also apply for a residential beach parking and drive-on permit online at www.ehamptonny.gov. For further information please call the office at (631) 324-4142.
Non-Residents
Non-Resident beach parking permits and boat launching ramp permits are available on a yearly basis through the East Hampton Town Clerk.
Paid Parking
Paid daily parking is available at Kirk Park Beach Parking Lot, located at the entrance to Montauk just west of the IGA. Parking at this location is free for residents with a valid sticker. There are also many paid street parking spots throughout the downtown area to utilize. The Park Mobile paid parking system is available online at https://parkmobile.io/. The Park Mobile app is also available to download and utilize from any app store.
NY State’s Parks & Recreation Empire Passport Decal
The New York State Empire Pass is available at the Montauk Down State Park or online. This covers parking at Montauk Point State Park, Hither Hills and Camp Hero and locations throughout New York State. New York State Parks now offers a Digital Empire Pass, available to use with the NY State Parks Explorer App. The annual 2026 Empire Pass is accepted through December 31, 2026.
